Financial expert and best-selling author Suze Orman has come out publicly against Florida’s Amendment 2, which if passed by voters next month, would constitutionally ban same-sex marriage and civil unions in the state.
Suze Orman — who is gay and hosts a financial advice show on CNBC — warned that Amendment 2 would have far-reaching effects for unmarried couples and seniors, as well as gays and lesbians. Pension and health care benefits could be eliminated for these groups should Amendment 2 pass.

Cox Communications, the cable TV provider for a good chunk of Orange County, added two Indian-language channels for local viewers. The channels, STAR India Plus and Sony Entertainment Television Asia (or SET Asia), are now available on channels 411 and 412, respectively.
Both can be ordered individually or as part of a package. A la carte prices for international channels are available HERE (the a la carte price for SET Asia is $14.95/month, while STAR India Plus appears to be $11.95).

Bharti Airtel launched AirTel Digital TV, its direct-to-home (DTH) satellite TV service. Starting October 9, the service will be available through 21,000 retail points, including Airtel relationship centres in 62 cities across the country.
“For the northern market, the package starts from Rs. 2,499 and for the South, the package would start from Rs. 1,499. Depending on the language and genre of channels, the monthly tariffs would range from Rs. 125 to Rs. 424. We will also offer special deals to our 80-lakh mobile, broadband and other customers,” Mr. Kohli said.
Stating that AirTel Digital TV, which is a perfect blend of latest technology, unique features, and great content, would redefine the digital home entertainment experience, Mr. Kohli said: “The launch of AirTel Digital TV is the culmination of our ‘three screens’ strategy, which is to be present across mobile phone, computer and TV screens. What a load of trash! Feels like forty years worth of super hero films of the East and the West recycled to create this film. When an orphaned Drona as a child is forced to live with his abusive aunt and spoilt cousin you are forcefully reminded of Harry Potter then you’re plunged into a crass imitation of 1980s video game like atmosphere that is supposedly the villain’s den. Then when Drona finds his bracelet it takes you right back to Mr India. If Drona had potential, it’s been ruined by pure uninspiring film direction by Goldie Behl.

Neal is from Sikeston, Missouri and attended college at Southeast Missouri State and University of Missouri-Columbia.
His mother noticed his beautiful voice at a young age, but singing didn’t become Neal’s passion until high school.
Neal has followed his dream ever since and it took him to the national spotlight as the winner of America’s Got Talent.

The Vermont-bred jam band, which disbanded in 2004, is planning three dates next March in Hampton, Virginia. A notice posted on the band’s Web site says Phish will play March 6, March 7 and March 8, 2009, at the Hampton Coliseum. The Web site says more 2009 dates will be announced later.
A spokesman for the Coliseum, who wouldn’t give his name, confirmed the booking.
Phish was among the nation’s top touring acts when it called it quits in 2004. The band received a lifetime achievement award at the Jammy Awards last May.

In the final battle of the sexes, at the grand finale of the dance show Zara Nach Ke Dikha, it was the ‘Meethi Churi’ girls’ team that came out as winners. Boys’ team (Tez Talwar) walked out of the show in protest of some of the judges decisions.
THE DANCE reality show, Zara Nach Ke Dikha, had been on for the past two months and entered its final round on Sunday (September 28). The balance had kept tilting in the favour of either the girls or the boys and it was now in the grand finale that the final result had to be announced. The girls had gone with a slight lead of points going in to this final episode. The show was graced by the judges Malaika Arora Khan, Chunky Pandey and guest judge Saroj Khan.

The show started with the ’Tashan’ round wherein Karishma Tana fought it out against Bakhtyaar Irani. Karishma performed on the energetic track ‘Oop Oop cha’ from the upcoming film Drona. The winner of the round was Karishma Tana. The next round was the ’Zara Hatke’ dance round, in which the contestants had to perform a shadow dance, which is one of the most difficult dance forms to execute specially live on stage. The girls, Narayani Shastri and Mouni Roy, performed on ‘Lazy Lamhe’ ,whereas Gaurav and Bakhtyaar performed for the Tez Talwar team.

Rajneesh and Adahh are lovers who get married. Rajneesh is an architect and he is selected from his company to bring down an old castle somewhere in India and build it into a hotel. But there is a spirit that resides there that does not allow this to happen. In fact, two architects have been killed but Rajneesh and his wife are not aware of it. Adah gets possessed by this spirit and therein begins the story.
Director Vikram Bhatt seems to be redeeming himself with this horror flick… everything seems to be going fine till just before the intermission, when in comes Rakhi Sawant to take away the intensity of the fear that he was just building up.
No, there is nothing wrong with the Sawant girl, but just that Bhatt’s choice of introducing an item song, if I may be permitted to call it so, and more importantly choice of performer, falls flat on the screen. Rakhi comes with a lot of baggage of ‘trying to be there’ and this exact weight of hers does not allow her to carry off the scene. Also, he was just building up the scare. A very jarring aberration.
